Dean International Students office visit by British Council….

Chandigarh, 9  June 2017: Mr. Tom Birtwistle, Director, North India, British Council, India along with Ms.
Tanisha Thiara, Head, British Council Chandigarh visited the office of the Dean,  International Students, on Friday, 9 June 2017, in order to discuss past collaboration with the British Council and plan for future collaboration.
Tom was pleased to review the materials from the two UK-Generation Study in India Programmes and expressed an interest in more such programmes for widening the mental horizon of students.  The Dean, International Students, Professor Deepti Gupta made a request for an exclusive computer terminal at the Panjab University Library dedicated to the resources of the British Council Library for which Ms. Tanisha Thiara, Head of the Chandigarh British Council gave positive response.  On the occasion, Tom interacted with many students of PU in order to understand the mind set of Indian students and expressed a keen desire to encourage more student exchange programmes.
Ankur School gets new Principal
Chandigarh, 9 June 2017, Dr (Mrs) Parminder Duggal has joined Ankur School Panjab University Campus Chandigarh on 7th June. Dr. Duggal is a seasoned academician having 29 years of  teaching experience. She has served as PGT Biology in reputed institutions like Delhi Public School Gurgaon &Vivek High School Chandigarh.Since 2007, she has been Principal of Sri Aurobindo Public School Baddi& Delhi Public School, Khanna.  She was recipient of CSIR Fellowship during her PhD.
